Microdose VR Releases Alpha 1.2
Microdose VR recently released their much anticipated update taking us to Alpha 1.2 Lets talk about some of the things that got introduced, starting with how often new things are going to get introduced!! Recently in talking with Anson Phong, lead developer/programmer/creator of Microdose, he reminded me that since April 19,2019 to now they had only done two public updates. Two updates in two years! But now we are at a point he calls Continuous Integration where we'll be getting a new update every one-two weeks that represents what he and the rest of the team are working on right then. So the discussion between the development and the user team can really enter another level here as we see feedback lead to new tools and revisions quickly.
1.2 also brought us more fully into the Touch OSC world of MDVR. OSC is really evolving here with the most impressive OSC interface I’ve ever seen. I’ve never seen this level of feedback and communication between a software and OSC template and I’ve been deeply impressed by Phong’s work here ever since he shared the first photos. After months playing with it and seeing it evolve more I am more impressed than ever. He recently told me that once everything is live we, the end user, will even be able to update and edit this, which is incredible!
